Love the canelés here. The shop owner is also very friendly and knowledgeable. We had a chat about the delicacy of making canelés and it's always nice coming to a shop filled with happy vibes.
Side street parking is available. There's a large table at the back of the cafe that can seat about 4-6 people. Otherwise there's a couple tables by the window front and minimal seating alongside the walls (from what I remember).
Would love to come back and try their specialty creme brûlée's -

A hidden gem that opened in my neighbourhood!
My friends and I decided to check this place out right when they opened! The wait time was roughly 30 minutes at that time, but now there's no line ups. This place is known for the homemade creme brulees and cutely themed macaroons!
The pictures are from 2 separate occasions! We decided to give the early grey, ferrero rocher, and salted caramel creme brulees a try. The Earl Grey as probably my favourite flavour! It wasn't too sweet which I like and had a very definitive tea taste!
Second occasion, I gave in to the overpriced macaroons! It was for the holidays and I thought my lil cousins would enjoy the designs on these haha! Price: $3.25 each, no bulk pricing unfortunately! They have really unique flavours such as Vietnamese Coffee, Earl Grey, Milk Tea, Passion Fruit, just to name a few!
Only downside would definitely be the pricing. There is seating and the place is really cozy! -

Craque de Creme is a hidden gem!!!
If you go to toronto it is definitely worth stopping.
We discovered it through a Thrillist video on facebook and when we visited Toronto near Chriatmastime we decided to stop in and get some creme brulee. It did not disappoint!!
We tried the ferrero roche and tiramisu creme brulee and a Belgian waffle. Everything was absolutely delicious. They have a bunch of flavors of creme brulee to choose from and they torch it right in front of you which is fun to watch. The waffles were also very good, we got one that came with ice cream which was delicious.
The owner was there and he was very nice and happy to know that we stopped in because of the video floating around on Facebook! -

A few colleagues and I came here for an afternoon break and were very excited to try the creme brûlée's!
It was cute and cozy inside with a nice variety of pastries, macarons, and your standard coffee list. We had the ferro Roche, pistachio, lychee vodka, and bourbon one.
Overall we were not blown away. I left a bit let down. The creme brûlée's are all premade and stored in the fridge, then the staff takes them out, sprinkles them with sugar and torches them in front of you. Because they are premade and stored in the fridge, the whole thing was cold except for the top sugar layer, therefor the contrast of the temperatures just did not taste right for that dessert.
The flavours were creative, and I have never had a flavoured one before... but I think that is also what took away from the dessert. It did not have a creme brûlée taste... nor were the flavours spot on.
If I come back I think I will try their original creme brûlée flavour, but otherwise I'm not dying to return. -

If you are looking for a good liege waffle, look no more. This place is really good. They also have surprisingly great canales and as you can see from my photos these are so so perfect. Canales are so labour intensive that really, it's worth paying $3.10 to make it right.
In terms of creme brûlée they have a huge huge amount of flavours! Coconut pandan was delicious, as was Vietnamese coffee.
Liege waffles are still my go to, you can dress them up and they do.... either savory style like bacon and balsamic with sousvide egg or Craque madame which is black forest ham , cheese and sousvide egg. There's sweet ones too like Nutella and strawberries and cream with chocolate sauce . My fave is just to eat liege waffles plain to enjoy the crunchy pearl sugar and chew of these yeast waffles .
Location is a bit out of the way for me but still happy to make the trip. It has a steady stream of business as well as delivery people popping in and out and so it's decently busy. They would definitely be my pick for liege waffles and caneles.
